Next Generation Childcare Tuesday September 30 08

WOW - Check out our new television!! The children were all interested in watching the men set up the television and Danelle set the laptop to the television. With the box from the television, Michelle (Katie's mum) pushed the children around as it was a boat for them.
Outside the children carried on using the boxes as boats.
Look at Soren's hair - the gel mohawk - very cool!
Other activities we had outside were the dinosaurs in the trough with the sand and some greenery, the children had a great time jumping off the plank and landing in some great positions.
What a great time we all had :-)

Happy 5th Birthday Samrath!
Samrath chose his two favourite songs for mat time- God of Nations and Slippery Fish. We all got to have a piece of Samrath's yummy chocolate birthday cake, popcorn, fairy bread and apples. The teachers were also given a yummy morning tea of roti bread and rice pudding! Yum Yum!
Have a wonderful time at school Samrath, we will miss you.

Wednesday 24 September 2008 by Jordyn from Birkenhead College

Today’s daily diary was formulated by Jordyn. A year 11 student visiting us from Birkenhead College. It was great to share my knowledge of ICT with a young person as usually it’s the other way around!

Next Generation Childcare Tuesday 23rd September 2008

Today we have had many people in the building at Next Generation. We have been very
lucky to have 2 students from Birkenhead College Year 11 here as part of experience for their
Child Development class. We also have a AUT student here so all the children have had many
new friends to play with. Thanks to you all.

Next Generation Childcare Friday 19th September 2008

Lots of fun and excitment at Next Generation today, the children were learning about deaf awareness and painted some really cool "loud" t-shirts. We celebrated Jaydens 4th birtday, and all the favourite songs were sung. Of course there was loads of building and constructing happening all day - there's definitly a strong interest still very active at Next Generation.

Next Generation Childcare Tuesday 17th September 2008

The question may be What did we not do at Next Generation today?
Aiden, Rachael and Tyra had fun running around in circles until they all got dizzy and fell over.
Katie and Soren had a great time making their own creations with the lego on their own then
side by side.
Bernie constructed a great marble rolling activity outside which all the children had a turn of
over the morning.
All our other children had fun in other areas of the centre as well.
What will the afternoon bring????????
The sun is shining and the jumpers are being stripped off with summer hats beginning to be
worn. I can see all the children running around outside and being very vocal. :-)

Thursday 11th September, 2008

Today Amelia came in to Next Generation with beautiful sparkles on her forehead. Wow what a sensation she has caused! Amelia has helped the other children (and Maria) to attatch "bindi" jewels to their fore heads too! Thanks Amelia for helping us!
