Daily Diary 29th July 2009

What a busy day at Next Generation! Thankfully the rain stayed away so there was lots of fun to be had outside. Some children practised with the hula hoops while others had races down the slide. The four year old group practised writing their names with Lorraine. It would be great if the four year olds could practise writing their names at home with mum or dad or a big brother or sister - they are trying really hard to use upper and lower case when writing their names.
It was busy in the artroom today with marble rolling being a popular activity.

Have a happy evening everyone - see you all tomorrow!

Have you seen our wonderful family photos on the wall? The children and teachers love to look at the photos and talk about who we can see. Do you have a family photo you would like to add to the wall? You can bring one in or email us a photo to nextgen2@xtra.co.nz

Today a group of children joined Niomi in a make believe army game. All day long they made props, new story lines and had great adventures. Mila videoed the children using our Flip Video recorder. This is a small snippet of the children involved in their group play. Thanks Niomi and Mila for being a fun part of our day!

Last night Lorraine turned up with a very special surprise......Ginger the bunny rabbit. Ginger is visiting with us for 10 days while his owner is on holiday. Aiden is excited because "Ginger is in the cage", and Ethan R "Like looking at Ginger in the cage".
Aiden, Ethan, Jayden and Andrew tell us that Ginger eats carrots, lettuce and apples.
We will certainly enjoy having fun with Ginger.
