Friday 28th May, 2010
Friday is show and tell day at Next Generation and our friend Cole bought in his mask! The children all discussed when a mask like this should be worn, usually in hospital and at the doctors. Joel says "When I was really little and I got sick I had to wear this mask and when I woke up I had jelly and icecream and I had to wear my monster truck pyjamas and I got much better." So we learnt that wearing this mask wasn't that scary after all!

Neita Awards
Here are a few photos of my trip to Wellington. Ernie and I had a great time sightseeing and having lunch at Parliament. It was fantastic being able to fly down and recieve my award. Thank you all for your encouragement and support!!!

Rachel and the Teaching Awards
Today Rachel is flying to Wellington for the National Excellence in Teaching Awards. Rachel is one of the finalists. Thursday morning Rachel will speak to the panel of Judges. They are looking to select one person for the 2010 Award. From there she will go to Paliment for lunch and to receive her award as a finalist. In a few weeks we will find out if she gets the top award. Please send you best wishes to Rachel by adding a comment. This is a fantastic acheivement for Rachel and is a reflection of the quality of teachers at Next Generation.
