Making Bread by Mira

Hi my name is Mira Mautner and I am a student at NZTC completing my graduate diploma. I decided to bake some bread with the children for two reasons.

One - we have been largely locked in due to the renovations being done to the outside at Next Generation and baking is a lovely inside activity and two - I had a wee discussion with the children at lunchtime and they told me that they like eating bread.

I hope you like it - Cheers Mira

Kate from Dio

Hey my name is Kate Hood and I've been here at Next Gerneration for the past three Days. I'm in sixth form at Dio and play cricket, volleybally school and club netball as well as coaching. I had to choose somewhere to go for three days work experience and I'm so glad I came to Next Generation I have had so much fun. It's made me realise how rewarding working with young kids is and how much fun you have with them. It must be so hard to come up with new ideas day after day to make life interesting for everybody but is so worth it! I have had such a good time and hope to come back and see everybody again soon :)

Carol 13022009

I enjoyed doing Photostory 3. I'd introduce to my home centre to use it on my children.

Today is my last day in Next Generation Childcare. I had a wonderful 3 weeks Practicum in Next Generation. I appreciate all of assistance from this great team, I wont forget them in my life. I will miss all of professional teachers and lovely children. Wish them all the best.

Summer Fun In Next Generation 05/02/2009 by Carol

Today, we have had a wonderful day with the children in Next Generation Childcare. We spent most of the time in outdoor activities, we had Water play, Sand garden, and Flour exploration. Also, I had a opportunity to participate the update of Daily Diary. I enjoyed doing it as this is my first experience. What a great day we have!

I woul like to share some of the fun things we all did today. As you see "super Man" came for a play. The teachers entertained the children at mat time. Danelle set up a great obstical course and the girls got stuck into some work in the sandpit, and I had my very first experience using a "pro scope

I had a great day playing with all the lovely children (and staff).

Have a great day. Kath

Happy 5th Birthday Samrath!
Samrath chose his two favourite songs for mat time- God of Nations and Slippery Fish. We all got to have a piece of Samrath's yummy chocolate birthday cake, popcorn, fairy bread and apples. The teachers were also given a yummy morning tea of roti bread and rice pudding! Yum Yum!
Have a wonderful time at school Samrath, we will miss you.

Wednesday 24 September 2008 by Jordyn from Birkenhead College

Today’s daily diary was formulated by Jordyn. A year 11 student visiting us from Birkenhead College. It was great to share my knowledge of ICT with a young person as usually it’s the other way around!
